Lexington police arrest man accused of raping woman at knifepoint

Lexington police have arrested a man they say raped a woman at knifepoint.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington police have arrested a man they say raped a woman at knifepoint.

Police said the crime happened Monday at the Knights Inn, off Newtown Pike, near the interstate. The victim told police the suspect held her down, put a knife to her throat, and forced her to have sex with him.

Police said some construction workers nearby managed to get the suspect's license plate as he drove off. They later arrested Desmond Henson, 24, at a home in Paris. He has been charged with rape.
