Lexington Police tell us one of their officers has minor injuries after getting into a scuffle with a student. They are searching for the student now.

It happened Tuesday afternoon on Hollow Creek Road. We're told the 17-year-old student was truant from school. Police say an officer picked up the teen on Liberty Road, and was taking him to his aunt's house on Hollow Creek Road when the officer realized the student had a juvenile court order.

We're told that's when the student ran off, and was chased by the officer. The two ended up in a scuffle, and the officer was hurt. We're told he has a shoulder injury and some scratches.

Lexington Police and K-9 units are now looking for the student.
