Lexington police make arrest after overnight stabbing

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police made a speedy arrest only hours after an overnight stabbing in Lexington.

Police said someone called in around 11 on Sunday night, saying that there was a fight at Peachtree Road and Woodhill Drive. After police arrived they found a woman bleeding from the back of the head where they say she had been stabbed.

She was able to describe her attacker and where police could find him.

Police arrested 62 year old Riley Perrin and he was charged with assault.

The woman is expected to be fine.
