Lexington teen finishes as runner up on Jeopardy

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A Lexington teen's run on a national game show came to an end Tuesday night in the championship round.

Barrett Block, of Henry Clay High School, competed in the final two rounds of the Teen Jeopardy tournament on WKYT.

He was the runner-up, finishing with $35,600.

He says he plans to take a risk with his earnings and play the stock market.

Fayette County Schools tell us Barrett is the fourth Henry Clay student since 2007 to compete in the Teen Tournament.

Three students from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School have won it, including Papa Chakravarthy in 2006, John Zhang in 2003, and Fraser Woodford in 1993.
