Bands of light snow are working across the region. These can put down some light accumulations on the grass and elevated surfaces.
Right from the beginning of the trial, Toby Lasure sat sobbing at times, especially when the picture of the victim. Christopher Tolliver was shown to the jury.
Lasure is charged with murdering his boyfriend, Christopher Tolliver, in the Lexington Green parking in March of 2009.
Just last month, Lasure was found mentally competent to stand trial for the murder.
Tolliver's family says he had gone to the parking lot of Lexington Green to end his relationship with Lasure in March, 2009.
That's when police say Lasure shot and killed Tolliver.
They say after the shooting, Lasure fled the scene in his car and ended up in a standoff with police that lasted several hours.
He eventually surrendered peacefully.
Lasure's own attorney won't dispute that his client pulled the trigger, shooting and killing Tolliver, but says it wasn't murder.
The prosecution says during an interview with police, Lasure told them he heard voices in his head tell his to get the gun just before the shooting took place.
Along with the murder charge, Lasure is charged with fleeing and evading, wanton endangerment, and leaving the scene of an accident.
