Lexington pizza place robbed

A worker at a Lexington pizza place had the scare of a lifetime when he stepped out the door late Monday night.

Police say the masked robber was waiting at the back door of Marco's Pizza on North Locust Hill Drive, off Richmond Road.

The robber pulled a small handgun on the workers and led him back inside the store, where the robber took cash.

Police used search dogs to track the robber's scent to the Burlington Coat Factory.

That is where police say they found fresh foot prints and tire tracks, leading police to believe the robber had a getaway car there.

The robber is described as a white man around 20 years old, standing 6'3" and weighing 210 pounds.

He was wearing a grey hoodie with black pants and a black mask with a white skull on it.

Police are waiting to review surveillance video from inside the restaurant.
