Lincoln Co. teen arrested after shooting

LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A teenager is charged with assault after a shooting.

Lincoln County Sheriff's deputies arrested 18-year-old Adam Alford on Tuesday night, between 9:30pm to 10pm.

Lincoln Sheriff Curt Folger says Alford and a friend of the family, Farren Rowland, got into an argument at an apartment on Kentucky 1194 in Moreland. Rowland left the home. The sheriff says at that point, Alford went upstairs, got a shotgun and shot at Rowland's vehicle through the window. Rowland was shot in the neck/chest area.

The victim drove to the nearby Dollar General store and they called 911. Rowland was flown to UK Hospital for treatment.
