LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A man is arrested after a Lincoln County deputy was rammed during a pursuit Saturday evening.
It began around 10 p.m. Saturday night on Johnson Road, around Joe Padgett Lane, near Stanford.
The sheriff says Glennis Halcomb, 58, took off in his car, and a pursuit began.
We're told Halcomb ran off the road multiple times, hitting the deputy's car more than once. Shortly after, we're told the Halcomb left his car and took off on foot.
Officers followed, and the sheriff says the Halcomb was Tazed and pepper sprayed, which had no affect on him. The deputy was forced to take down the Halcomb. We're told the two fought, both the Halcomb and the deputy were taken to a local hospital.
The sheriff does say the deputy hurt his hand and knee. He tells us both the deputy and the suspect were released from the hospital Saturday evening. Halcomb is in the Lincoln Regional Jail. He faces several charges, including wanton endangerment, as well as fleeing and evading police.
