List of Kentucky counties with burn bans

With temperatures topping 100 degrees and continued dry conditions, many Kentucky counties are instituting burn bans.

Fayette County is among counties with bans. The ban prohibits all outdoor burning until significant rainfall has been received, according to the Lexington Fire Department.

The second leading cause of wildland fires is from uncontrolled burning of debris. So far this year, more than 13,000 acres have burned in Kentucky according to the U.S. Forestry Service.
