According to the website sleepbetter.org, the Great American Pillow Toss sleep education campaign, analyzed data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDCP) annual Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System Survey (BRFSS). They used the information to rank the nation’s most sleep-deprived cities. The results shows that a significant portion of the population is struggling with sleep.

More than a quarter of the residents of the most sleep-deprived city, which is Charleston, WV, don’t get enough sleep more than half the time.

The research shows Lexingtonians on average don't get enough sleep nine days out of a month and that more than 22% of the population is sleep deprived.
