CLARK COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Power crews from Kentucky will soon be heading east to help restore power after the storm.

Leaders of Kentucky's Touchstone Energy Cooperatives tell us their crews have been preparing for more than a week now.

"Right now we are just waiting to see what happens and where the needs may be for service," said Nick Comer, with East Kentucky Power.

Crews locally are prepared for when and if the calls come in. Whether the need is in the Northeast or closer to home.

"We are definitely keeping a close-eye on the snow potential in Eastern Kentucky, where heavy wet snow may bring down lines," Comer said.

They are also prepared to help where ever the need may be. "During the tornadoes in March, crews from other states came to our aide. We just want to be able to return the favor."
