Horse on the loose ties up traffic

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Drivers on New Circle Road had to make way Monday night for a loose horse.

Police say the horse somehow got loose from Calumet Farm on Versailles Road, then made it onto New Circle Road.

Police say the horse ended up running down the middle of the road, all the way to the Nicholasville Road exit, which is about five miles.

There, she was stopped, and animal control showed up with a trailer to take her back home.
