Very slow moving showers and thunderstorms will move into our area overnight and Sunday. The potential for flooding will be heightened in southern and eastern Kentucky.
The home of the Big Blue will look more red this week.
On Thursday, the Louisville Cardinals tip off their NCAA Tournament run at Rupp Arena.
And on Wednesday, their fans got the chance to see their team practice at Rupp.
The Cards looked right at home practicing on the Cats turf Wednesday afternoon.
“I think Louisville is representing well for the Big Blue Country,” said Steve Johnson, Cardinal fan.
Loyal Louisville fans followed their team to Lexington to watch players practice and prepare for the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
“I think we have a really good shot but one bad game anything can happen,” said Kevin Hudgins, Cardinal fan.
For most UK fans, the fact that Louisville will play at Rupp adds insult to injury after a rough season for the Cats.
But we found at least one Big Blue fan who has a different philosophy.
“I kind of want to see our arch rival advance and move on and complete the sweep like Kentucky did last year,” said Rodney Lee, a UK fan who plans to cheer for Louisville.
And Lee told us he intends to cheer for Louisville until the very end.
“As long as that trophy stays within the state, I’m happy,” Lee said.
Louisville will face off against North Carolina A&T Thursday night at 6:50 at Rupp Arena; the game will air on TBS.
We also have this traffic note for people going to the games at Rupp Thursday:
Despite an ongoing construction project, state transportation leaders say all lanes of Newtown Pike, heading into downtown, will be open Thursday morning through Monday.
