Louisville juvenile shot accidentally

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Louisville police say an 11-year-old boy was accidentally shot when a group of juveniles were playing with a gun.

Police said in a news release that officers responded to a call of a shooting on Larkwood Avenue around 1:15 a.m. on Sunday morning. They found that the shooting victim with a group of other youths when another juvenile started playing with a gun and it appears to have gone off accidentally.

The 11-year-old was shot in the side and he was taken to Kosair Hospital with injuries that appear to be non-life threatening. Police have not filed any charges.
