Madison County Schools cancelling afternoon kindergarten and preschool

MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) – The Madison County School district is cancelling afternoon kindergarten, preschool and midday bus routes for January 31.

Parents of morning kindergarten or preschool students may pick their children up at the school.

Students can also stay at the school and be transported this afternoon by bus.

Parents with questions are asked to call their children’s school or the district office.

Road conditions also contributed to several accidents on I-75 in the late morning hours.
Even with the crashes, many drivers decided to brave the conditions.

"So far for us it's been clear. There's been snow, but nothing on the highway," said Donald Hay. Hay was on I-75 heading south to Florida.
