Madison County Schools hold some buses due to slick roads

MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - There are reports Wednesday afternoon of roads becoming slick and hazardous again, especially in Madison County.

Officials tell us parts of Richmond are extremely slick, several crashes have been reported near downtown and the EKU campus.

Madison county schools also held some buses at Kit Carson Elementary because of the conditions. The school systems says bus routes in the Brookline Subdivision, Covington Woods area and Goggins Lane area are all snow covered.

The school system says about 50 students were held at the school, but all of them have since been picked up by their parents.
