Man accused of killing girlfriend goes to court

POWELL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A man accused in the shooting death of his girlfriend appeared in court on Tuesday morning.

Ralph Allyn, 66, is charged wit the murder of Barbara Martin, 64, in Powell county.

State Police say Allyn shot Martin on Sunday inside the couple's home.

He pleaded not guilty to the crime.

Police say that Allyn called 911 after the crime and admitted he shot Martin.
