Man in critical condition after Franklin County crash

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - A man who had to be cut from his vehicle after a crash on Interstate 64 is in critical condition at UK hospital.

The accident happened around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night in Franklin County near mile marker 50. That's where investigators say the driver ran off the road and crashed into a tree.

Rescue crews had to cut the victim from the car. Officials say he was airlifted to UK Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office has identified the crash victim as Rico Turner. He was from Louisville.
