Man arrested after walking through grocery store with a sawed off shotgun

LONDON, Ky. (WYMT/WKYT) - An unusual sight inside a grocery store led to a man being arrested.

The Laurel County Sheriff's Office says 41-year-old Earnest Carr brought a sawed off shotgun into a store near London and carried it around on his shoulder.

Deputies say Carr then left and got into a truck, which they later stopped.

They say Carr's shotgun had been sawed off to the point that it was illegal to have.

They arrested Carr and charged him with defacing a firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.
