Man arrested in sword disorder

Updated: Fri 3:29 AM, Sep 28, 2012

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WKYT) - Police arrest a man after responding to a bizarre call from his neighbors.

Georgetown police received calls complaining about an intoxicated man waving a samuri sword.

When officers arrived, they found 45 year old Randy J. Wise yelling obcenities from his front porch.

Police warned wise to stay inside, but say instead he took off.

Officials say an arrest was made after a short scuffle.

"It's unfortunate because they tried to cut him as much slack as they could. When we got there he was not in public which keeps us from arresting him. But he wouldn't listen and decided to come back out," said Captain Robert Swanigan.

Police say a sword was found inside Wise's home.

Wise is being held in the Scott County Detention Center.
