Police: Man attempts to buy ice cream with phony money

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A trip for some ice cream landed a man in jail on Monday.

Lexington Police say 36-year-old Jason Seavers tried to use a fake $20 at the Baskin Robbins off Richmond Road.

According to court documents, Police conducted a traffic stop after confirming with a Baskin Robbins employee that the bill was fake.

Police conducted a search of Seavers vehicle where they found dozens of counterfeit bills, as well as items used to make phony money.

Seavers will be arraigned Tuesday on 32 counts of forgery.
