Man shot during robbery attempt

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are looking for several men wanted in an overnight shooting.

It happened early Monday morning near Daniel Court, off Versailles Road.

Lexington police say the victim told them five masked men armed with guns demanded his money.

When he refused, police say he was assaulted and the shot in the arm.

Witnesses told police they say several men leaving in an early 1990's model Cadillac de Ville, but police haven't said if that car could be connected.

The victim was taken to UK Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police do not have a good description of the gunmen.
