Man charged after shots fired at Danville apartment

DANVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - Danville Police say they're investigating a shooting. It happened just before 8:00 a.m. Tuesday at an apartment on Madison Avenue on the city's southside.

Police say shots were fired into the building. We're told five people were inside at the time, included three children under the age of six.

"Two black males pulled up in dark blue Oldsmobile, we believe. Started shooting at apartment 19, with some kind of altercation with one of the occupants of that apartment," says Danville Police Chief Tony Gray.

Police found one of the victims at the nearby McDowell Home Health agency with a leg injury. Police say he wasn't shot. They believe he injured his leg while running from the scene.

Police found one of the people in the car. Bryan Anthony Douglas is charged with five counts of wanton endangerment. Police say the driver is still at large.
