LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Months after a Lexington shooting, police say phone records helped them man an arrest in the case.
Police say in August, a man was shot several times in the back on Twelfth Street. According to court documents, the victim told police he was there as part of a drug deal when he was shot. He told police he was to meet up with a man he only knew by a nickname, but stated he had the suspect's phone number saved in his phone.
Police searched the victim's phone records and showed him pictures of the suspect, who he was able to identify.
Police have charged Marcus Chambers, 27, with robbery.
