Man charged with DUI after injury crash

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - One man is in jail after an overnight crash that sent one person to the hospital.

It happened early Monday morning on Tates Creek Road at Cooper Drive.

Police say Christopher Steinrock, 40, was drunk when he rear-ended a couple's car.

A witness to the crash, who happens to be a nurse, told WKYT she rushed to help a woman in the car that was hit. That victim was taken to UK Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Steinrock is charged with DUI and driving without insurance.
