LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A man will answer to charges he assaulted and held a woman against her will.
Court documents obtained from the Fayette County Courthouse show during an argument with his girlfriend, John Hice slammed the woman to the ground, breaking two bones in her lower leg.
Lexington police say Hice then ignored the woman's plea for medical attention until the next day.
After the victim had surgery on her legs, Hice's arrest citation states he threatened to kill her and members of her family if she left him or called police.
Hice also allegedly held the victim against her will by removing her phone, her crouches and the only chair in their apartment with wheels, not allowing her to escape.
Hice is charged with assault, unlawful imprisonment and terroristic threatening. He will be arraigned in Lexington on Wednesday.
