Police searching after man cuts off ankle monitor

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police say man on house arrest cut off his ankle monitor yesterday... and is still missing.

Police went to 39-year-old Gordon Brumley's home after they realized the monitor had been cut.

Police then issued a warrant for Brumley since he is now in contempt of court.

This is the third time recently a man accused of a crime has cut off his ankle monitor.

John Buckely, a convicted rapist, is still missing after cutting off his ankle monitor in July.

Mustafa Qasem cut off his ankle monitor after escaping from a jail transport van earlier this month, he was later caught.
