Man in burned building had self-inflicted wound

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - The Jefferson County coroner's office says a man whose body was found inside an apartment building that burned after a SWAT standoff died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Police said that the standoff happened Wednesday as officers were trying to serve a warrant at an apartment near downtown. Police said the suspect fired shots at officers then barricaded himself inside, and the apartment later caught fire.

WHAS-TV (http://bit.ly/T5dbNZ ) says police haven't said whether the body found inside is the suspect.
