LEXINGTON, Ky. - Police are searching for a masked gunman who robbed a Marathon gas station this morning around 10 o'clock.

The employees of the gas station at Southland Drive and Rosemont Garden told police that the man was armed with a handgun and demanded money. They opened the register, and police say the man cleaned it out.

The suspect is described as wearing a brown coat and blue jeans. The clerks reported that the man was wearing a flower mask to disguise his face during the robbery.

Police reported that a forensic unit and a K-9 team have been dispatched to help search for the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.
