LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington police say they're trying to track down the five men who invaded a home on University Avenue Sunday night.

Police say the men forced their way through a side door to get into the home.

A man in the home told police one of the home invaders was armed with a knife. The man also says he was hit in the face with a brick. We're told he was shaken but wasn't seriously injured.

Investigators said the five men then left through the back door without stealing anything.

Even though many UK students are out of school and are no longer living on University Avenue, several students still living there say they're they're worried about their safety.

We spoke with one student who lives a few doors down. She didn't want to be identified but she told us she has been double-checking her locks after the violent home invasion.

"It's scary, I have to keep my door locked, my windows shut and keep a light on. Hopefully people will be less likely to come in," said the UK student.

The victims told police they don't know the home invaders.
