Man injured in Harlan County officer involved shooting

HARLAN COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) -- Investigators say a man has been injured after being shot by a police officer.

it happened just after 9:45 Friday night, in Lynch, in Harlan County.

We're told Lynch Police Officer Drew Wilson was responding to a domestic disturbance complaint near Mountain Street, when police say the suspect, Michael Blair, fired shots at Wilson as he got out of his cruiser.

Police say Wilson returned fire and shot Blair.

The suspect has been taken to the hospital. His injuries are not known.

Investigators say Officer Wilson was not injured.
