Police identify suspect in Lexington shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington Police have named a suspect in a shooting Tuesday morning. Police say they want to find Daniel Martinez, 40, in connection to the shooting. It happened around 10:00 a.m. at some apartments on Cambridge Drive.

Police say witnesses told them one man shot the other in the back. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and is being treated at UK Hospital. His name has not been released.

Police began looking for Martinez shortly after the shooting. They surrounded a house across from the apartments shortly after the shooting.
