Man injured in Richmond shooting

RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) -- Police have launched an investigation into a shooting that left a man injured.

Richmond police say it happened around 6 p.m. Thursday along North Estill Avenue.

Police say the man was shot in the street, then went to a nearby home for help.

Police say the man underwent surgery at UK Hospital, but his injuries are not life-threatening.

Police say they have no witnesses or suspects in this shooting, and as of 11 p.m. Thursday, they had not been able to talk to the victim.
