HODGENVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) -- A man is dead in Hodgenville after an officer involved shooting.
Officials say two Hodgenville police officers attempted to serve arrest warrants on a man at his home on Sunday.
When the officers arrived and made contact with the man a struggle broke out. One officer attempted to use a taser but it was ineffective.
The man then grabbed a rifle and was then shot by an officer multiple times.
He was immediately taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead by the Hardin County coroner's office.
The name of the subject is being withheld pending notification of his family members.
