Man killed when hit by truck on freeway in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Police are investigating the death of a man who was hit by a truck while walking on Snyder Freeway in Louisville.

According to The Courier-Journal (http://cjky.it/UkMODp), the accident occurred around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

Louisville Police Department spokeswoman Alicia Smiley said the man was heading eastbound near the Dixie Highway entrance ramp when the truck hit him.

She said the police investigation includes the possibility that a car behind the truck also hit the man, who has not been identified. Smiley said he appeared to be in his late teens or early 20s.
