Police search for person of interest after Corbin shooting

CORBIN, Ky. (WKYT) - Corbin Police are looking for a man they believe is connected to a shooting that badly injured his father.

The shooting happened around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Gulf Trailer Park on Cumberland Falls Highway, near the Corbin Hospital.

Corbin Police say the victim, William Taylor, was shot once in the side.

Police are looking for Taylor's son, 25-year-old Eric Taylor. He's being called a person of interest in this case.

They say Eric Taylor is driving a white Jeep Cherokee with a tire on the back. There is an American flag tire cover on that spare tire.

Police say William Taylor was taken to the hospital, where he was in surgery as of 8 p.m. Wednesday.
