GARRARD COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A man, rescued from the roof of a burning home, now faces charges in the fire.

Members of the Camp Dick Fire Department responded to a fire at a home on Cleo Drive back on Wednesday, October 10th. When they arrived, they found Damien Heath Mullins on the roof of the burning home. Crews were able to rescue him.

Once inside, firefighters say they found what appeared to be explosive devices.

The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was contacted. KSP Hazardous Devices responded and removed several improvised explosive devices from the home.

KSP Arson Investigator said a preliminary investigation showed that the fire had been intentionally set.

KSP charged 37-year old Heath Mullins with arson, wanton endangerment (nine counts) and use of a weapon of mass destruction.

He was lodged in the Lincoln County Detention Center
