Man robs Kroger pharmacy in Jessamine County

JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Police in Jessamine County are looking for a robber.

A man robbed the Kroger on Bellerive Boulevard in Nicholasville just before nine on Tuesday morning. That's just off Harrodsburg Road.

The robber approached the clerk at the pharmacy and handed the clerk a list of prescription drugs. He implied he had a weapon. The clerk gave him drugs and the robber took off. He was seen getting into a waiting car.

Jessamine County Sheriff's deputies were already working in the area. They arrived at store less than a minute after the robber ran off.

"We were in the area on an escort for the Vietnam memorial wall. It was traveling towards Wilmore. Myself and two other units were right in the area when that came out," said Sgt. Andy Neyman, with the Jessamine County Sheriff's Office.

The man is described as a white man, with a dark complexion. He was also wearing a brown hat, a black polo shirt, with a long white shirt underneath, and blue jeans. He also had a lazy eye and was wearing one white glove.

Deputies are now reviewing surveillance video for more clues.
