LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A man convicted of manslaughter will serve time in jail.

A Fayette County judge denied probation today for 49-year-old Mike Rieder. Instead, he'll serve 10-years behind bars for the death of 29-year-old Jimmy Muzic. A jury found Rieder guilty of manslaughter back in October and recommended the 10-year sentence.

Police say that in April of 2011 Reider gave Muzic a ride. He then pulled him from the car and shot him outside a gas station on Eastland Drive. Reider turned himself in to police after the crime.
