Man shot to death inside Monroe County home

TOMPKINSVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky State Police say the Monroe County sheriff called the Columbia post just before 9:00am on Thursday to report a man had been shot to death. A State Police news release says the Sheriff reported the victim, 33 year-old Terry Alexander, had been found inside his home on Galilee Road, 10 miles west of Tompkinsville.

State Police say someone had shot the Bowling Green man several times. The Monroe County Coroner pronounced Alexander dead at the scene.

Troopers say their investigation determined 32 year-old Demarcus Hamilton of Tompkinsville shot Alexander. State Police arrested Hamilton in Cookeville, Tennessee on a charge of murder.
