MOREHEAD, Ky. (WKYT) - An employee of Harold White Lumber Yard in Morehead is recovering this morning after the front loader he was in flipped on its side.

We received a call early this morning about the accident. The caller told WKYT that a man was stuck in the cab of his front loader after it fell over on its side while trying to lift mulch.

We're told the scene was tense as workers tried to figure out exactly what had happened to the employee. At one point, a helicopter was called out because first responders thought he might have life threatening injuries. We're told that call was cancelled shortly after.

The Morehead Fire Department responded to the scene within minutes and were able to get the man out of the front loader and transport him to a local hospital.

While on the scene, WKYT was able to talk to one of the employees, who did not want to go on camera, but did tell us he believed his coworker was lucky.

WKYT attempted to talk to the owner of the lumber company but we were told they did not want to comment at this time.

The name of the employee injured has not been released. His condition is unknown at this time.
