LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police say a man placed an ad on Craigslist and then got robbed by the person who answered the ad.

Christopher Demar Rogers is charged with first degree robbery. Police arrested him at Red Mile and Broadway on Thursday.

According to court documents, Rogers answered the ad on December 21. Police say that Rogers then met with a man who posted it.

Court documents state that after going to the victim's residence, Rogers assaulted the victim. The documents go on to say that Rogers tied up the victim and put him in a closet.

The victim told police that the suspect then took the victim's vehicle along with several hundred dollars worth of property.

Police say the victim was able to identify the suspect in a photo line-up.

Rogers is set to answer to robbery charges in a Fayette County courtroom on Friday.
