Updated: Fri 8:05 PM, Jun 08, 2012

A man is facing charges after, police say, he fired a shot into an apartment.

Richmond Police say Ray Lasoya was handling a gun in a neighboring apartment on Alycia Drive when it went off.

The shot flew into Jonathan and Amanda Rollins' apartment.

"I heard a really loud noise and it scared me half to death," Amanda Rollins said.

The bullet came through a wall right above a chair where Jonathan usually sits.

"I'm lucky to be alive," Jonathan Rollins said.

Police say Lasoya never made any attempt to check on the Rollins'

He is charged with wanton endangerment.

Lasoya was home when WKYT went to the apartment complex, but he did not want to talk on camera.
