Man allegedly hits trooper with car

A man faces charges tonight after police say he hit a state trooper with a car.

Police tell 27 NEWSFIRST that over the weekend, James Bussell got into an argument with Trooper Scott Caudill at the trooper's home in Bath County.

Police say Bussell knocked the trooper to the ground, then hit the trooper's leg with a car as he drove off.

The trooper was not seriously injured.

Police charged Bussell with assault, wanton endangerment, and many other offenses.
