Chris Gosser
STANFORD, Ky. (AP) - A central Kentucky man has been arrested after a mother complained he was trying to marry her 15-year-old daughter.
Stanford police say 34-year-old Chris Gosser twice filed petitions to marry the teen - once in March and again in April.
The Advocate-Messenger reported that Gosser repeatedly sent text message and was seeing the girl even after the mother told him to stop.
Police say the first petition to marry a juvenile claimed the girl was pregnant. The second doesn't make that claim. Gosser's petitions were denied.
He was being held in the Lincoln County Regional Detention Center on $20,000 bond. Jail records did not list an attorney for Gosser.
