Tonight police in one Central Kentucky city are alerting people to keep a close eye on their cars.

We obtained video surveillance of the man police say has stolen at least two vehicles already, including one in Versailles.

Police there say they received a call this morning from workers at Tom's Custom Cabinets on Crossfield Drive, reporting a stolen vehicle.

When officers arrived to investigate, they were told a neighboring business 'Woodford Transmission' had surveillance video of the theft.

Lt. Daniel Clark with Versailles Police tells WKYT they believe the suspect first stole an Insight Communications truck in Louisville early this morning then drove to Woodford County where he ditched that truck in a neighboring business's parking lot.

"Then he walked up to Woodford Transmission and tried opening the door to all of the cars sitting in their lot," said Clark.

Unsuccessful at first. The video shows the white man with a number of tattoos return minutes later, successfully breaking into a white 1998 Dodge Pickup, belonging to the owner of Tom's Custom Cabinets.

"I just can't believe people these days. They just don't care," said Jim Booth. An employee of the cabinet company, Booth is who discovered the theft.

"I just hope they find our truck and catch this guy before he does it again," said Booth.

Police say they are currently trying to figure out if he could be connected to similar crimes in Central Kentucky and why he picked Versailles.

"Right now we just don't have any information about this man. We are asking for the public's help identifying him," Clark said.

Clark says if you see him, don't confront him, call police.
