Man charged in Lexington bank robbery

WKYT has learned new details about the person charged in a Lexington bank robbery.

According to court documents, Michael Roe of Paris was drunk when he robbed the Whitaker Bank on Paris Pike in Lexington on Monday.

Police say Roe parked his getaway van at a nearby gas station, but during the robbery, a truck driver delivering fuel blocked him in.

Investigators say Roe threatened to use physical force on the teller during the robbery. He's also charged with DUI.
