Man falls to his death near Red River Gorge

Emergency crews say a man fell to his death Tuesday afternoon near the Red River Gorge.

Wolfe County emergency crews say the victim was hiking with his family in the Muir Valley area when he fell about forty feet off a cliff.

By the time rescue crews got to him, we are told he had died.

The man's name has not been released.
