A woman faces charges after police say she stabbed a man at a motel during an argument over money.
The stabbing happened around 3:30 Tuesday morning at the Super 7 motel in Richmond.
Richmond Police say the 30-year-old victim, whose name wasn't released, called them to say he had been stabbed twice in the chest.
Police say when they arrived at the motel, they found the suspect, 22-year-old Sara L. Ritenour, of Berea, in her room at the motel.
Police arrested Ritenour and charged her with assault and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officers say they found the pocket knife used in the stabbing.
The victim was taken to UK Hospital. Police say he had non-life threatening injuries. Police also say the suspect and victim were acquaintances.
