Man robbed at gunpoint, police K-9 injured in search

A man is robbed at gunpoint, and a police dog is injured in the search for the gunmen.

Lexington police say two men robbed a man at gunpoint just after 2 a.m. Wednesday morning on Price Avenue, off South Broadway. The robbers made away with the victim's wallet.

Police brought in K-9 units to search for the armed men, when police say one of their K-9's stepped on a live, downed power line on nearby Merino Street. The dog suffered minor injuries and is expected to be okay.

Police do not have a good description of the armed men.
